Our Wildlife

Enjoy your stay, and look out for the animals that call it home.

Connecting to nature can be a powerful and humbling experience that nourishes our mind, body, and soul. It allows us to escape the fast-paced demands of modern life and find solace in the beauty and serenity of the natural world. It reminds us of our intrinsic connection to the earth and the interdependence of all living beings.

We prioritise the well-being of the local ecosystem. We actively encourage the presence of local birds and wildlife by refraining from spraying for spiders and opting for trapping methods before baiting for pests. Additionally, we use eco-friendly cleaning products and provide locally produced amenities to minimise our environmental footprint. Through educational initiatives and promoting eco-friendly practices within our community, we strive to create a sustainable environment for future generations.

It is often a fine balance between providing the best guest experience and staying true to our commitment to our local wildlife but the benefits are there and we encourage everyone to take a minute to soak in the surrounds;

LOOK UP - look up because you’ll catch the kookaburras and other native birds but there are families of Tawny frog mouths and plenty of possums.

LISTEN - listen to the bird song, listen fir the motorboat frogs

STAY ALERT - we have a family of kangaroos that lives in front of the property

To help guests understand the local wildlife we have created a guide with some interesting facts and information about where our local inhabitants live around the property.
